Regional Group is seeking an experienced and reliable Quarry Manager to oversee the operations of our Willow Tree Quarry.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Quarry Manager will be primarily focused on the day-to-day supervision, management and logistics of the hard rock quarry.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the processing of materials are compliant and meet relevant Australian standards
- Responsible for Safety Performance of employees and subcontractors in conjunction with Legislative Requirements and the Mine Safety Management Plan
- Responsible for quality control in conjunction with client requirements and the site-specific Quarry Management Plan
- Motivating and leading employees and contractors to achieve business results
- Responsible for Environmental Management and conformance in conjunction with Legislative requirements and the site specific Environmental management plan
- Responsible for meeting and achieving production targets
- Identifying potential safety hazards through active completion of risk assessment processes
- Developing and executing continuous improvement plans to achieve production targets
- Conducting weekly meetings with key stakeholders
- Managing sales targets and budgets
- Responsible for overall quarry development and ongoing production plans for the Willow Tree Quarry
Required skills and experience:
- Quarry Manager Practicing Certificate (Tier 2 Quarries)
- Prior quarry management is essential with a strong understand of quarry regulations and requirements
- Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Relevant RII tickets
- Current drivers license.
- Previous excavator and loader operation experience
- White Card
